1.The main function of LSR Dosing System is ratio control, which is the proportional delivery of precisely measured 1:1 (or 50:50) A&B material to the feed port of the injector. Even if the mixing ratio is slightly off, the LSR product still produces good curing properties (such as hardness, tearing strength, and tensile strength). For example, the curing properties of LSRS are usually the same at 52:48 or 48:52 ratios as they are at 50:50 ratios.Even so, we expect the LSR dosing machine to produce the desired 50:50 ratio within the ±1% range. This is because when we buy raw materials, we generally buy the same amount of A&B parts, so any remaining component caused by inaccurate measurement will be wasted. Variable ratio control can be used to compensate for differences in viscosity between A&B components.
2. The second key function of LSR dosing system is to keep the product clean. The LSR process is theoretically very clean because all the chemicals are sealed in a closed system. Ambient air, dust and moisture will not touch the product. As a result, the LSR dosing system cannot produce additional pollutants. Its metal parts must be resistant to corrosion to prevent rust. For medical applications, the metal in contact with the material should be of hygienic grade, such as stainless steel above grade 316. Material hoses should be lined with teflon or nylon, as traditional rubber lined hydraulic hoses may contain sulfur, which can contaminate silicone and may inhibit curing. Teflon lined hoses are particularly suitable for medical applications. Silicon purity is particularly important when shaping implantable medical parts or parts that come into contact with blood or drugs.
3. A third function of the LSR dosing system is the introduction of secondary ingredients, such as colorants, fungicides, and so on. The LSR dosing system shall be able to add third and fourth components when required with the desired ratio and accuracy.
4.Fourth, the LSR dosing system must thoroughly mix the A&B components and a small amount of the third and fourth components, and then accurately deliver to the injection molding machine according to the amount required by the machine.
5.The LSR dosing system must be able to supply the mixed liquid silicone to the injector barrel at a constant pressure. A consistent supply pressure will allow the barrel to be filled with the same volume and pressure of material during each cycle, resulting in repeatability of the injection size. This is especially important because liquid silicon, like thermoplastic materials, has some compressibility.
